Silhouettes (2017 - Present):

The silhouette series has always been about taking away human features and expression, with the shadow leaving an imprint. Using long exposures, distortion and blur gives an otherworldly quality as light fills these shadow beings with form and design.

They continue the theme of mutating trauma becoming more creature-like as insects, aliens and god-like beings. Each one represents some spiritual mysticism, a mindset I was in at the time of creation, good and bad.

These were captured, using specific lighting conditions, gels, distortions and various light sources as well as by a variety of props.

Drain me of pain and fill me with light.

When you transform and change into something you don't recognise.

Madness awakens the beast.

We transform ourselves to escape the darkness. Whilst unknowingly giving ourselves to it.

Shaman

Shamans are a way of contacting spirits and bringing these energies into the physical world.

Light Being 1

(1/2) The body grows, begins to breathe until it's soul develops and the power to give and create is in your hands. It's what you do with it that matters.

(2/2) Even when you're at your lowest point something inside pushes you on and on until you finally succeed.
