Reflections of the Mind: (2018 - Present)

A series of self-portraits focused on the concept of personal trauma and projecting it in a personal way with depression, anxiety, and turmoil.

For myself, it's important to highlight these crippling feelings and may help others understand that a mental health issue can be just as difficult to address as a physical one. By representing it in a surreal way it makes it more eye-catching and intense using colour and distortion techniques.

Distorting the face using fabric shows a physical change and the trapped person within. This body of work was all produced in a studio environment with minimal digital enhancement as I wanted to create the effects in camera.
